Feeling a bit lonely, Mr. Phelps?

  1. Equating winning the most olympic medals to a great sportsman is just ridiculous.

    It so happens that in swimming a good swimmer has so many events available to compete that when the swimmer is good, can rack up the medals.

    Same with gymnastics and the previous record holder a Russian gymnast was able to do the same during '56-'64 olympics and racked up 17 medals and that record stood till yesterday.

    But in any other sport even including track and field, no body can rack up the medals like this even if that athelete is far superior to schelp.

    So this is a moot point that winning infinite medals in Olympics don't make an athlete the greatest!
